Brentford got back to winning ways against Notts County yesterday (no bad thing given Wolves also picked up three points) but it was Rotherham who continue to replace the self-destructing Leyton Orient as ‘the third team in this table toping affair’.
We’ll start, of course, at Griffin Park where our super Bees ran out as 3-1 victors over Notts County, despite the card happy Charles Breakspear as the man in the middle. However, for once we were the beneficiaries of a red card / penalty call with no repeat of the mid-week decision reversal against Sheffield United.

Thanks for reading over the course of the campaign. For now I need to make space on this page for any follow up. The ‘close season’ / World Cup columns continue in full, further on in this site.
Being a Bees fan, Rotherham are still making me nervous. We need Sheffield United to do us the biggest favour Tuesday night, just dont let the Millers win. Although i did predict Rotherham for a play off spot before the season started, I didnt think they would be this good! We need the win Tuesday before yet another tough game this time at Swindon.
Some may be hearing the dulcet tones of the fat lady in the distance, but im a bit hard of hearing at the moment
As a Wolves fan, Rotherham are still making me nervous. We still have to play them and Leyton Orient. Crewe are fighting for survival so that won’t be an easy game. That leaves us with Coventry away and Carlisle at home. If we slip up then Brentford are in pole position and Rotherham won’t be too far behind. While I admit that things are looking good for Wolves there are no guarantees at this stage of the season. I know this sounds terribly pessimistic but I’ve been a Wolves fan for a long long time and have seen how capable we are of snatching one last defeat from the jaws of victory.
I think on this occasion your pretty safe!
And also being a Bees fan we would be more than happy if the season finished now, even with you winning the League, as long as we go up automatically!
