One, non Brentford, subject close to my heart this season has been the ongoing effort to thwart Hull City owner Doctor Assem Allam in his attempt to rebrand the club as Hull Tigers. There were more developments on that yesterday which we’ll look at shortly but, of course, there’s only one place to start today – Griffin Park, with Crawley Town due to visit.
There can’t be too many people unaware of the significance of a win tonight.

Thanks for reading over the course of the campaign. For now I need to make space on this page for any follow up. The ‘close season’ / World Cup columns continue in full, further on in this site.
seems like u deliberately miss the point. What mr Allam was saying was 20 mths ago without the 75 million from his pocket, Hull Tigers would have been dead and Bankrupt. He could have bought the club, re-branded, change the colour to pink, got the team to play in tutu’s because the whole team was part of history. NOW ITS WEMBLEY NEXT WEEK, Premier league next season, with a good chance of European football. Would BRENTFORD change their name for those opportunities provided by a well meaning local family.
No – we wouldn’t
Good luck to Brentford tonight. I actually think a Brentford win tonight would help the Wolves cause. I believe it would keep the players more focused on the next five games. Also, as I’ve said before, I would like Brentford to get promoted along with us. You’ve played some of the best football I’ve seen this season so you deserve it (and of course Nick it would mean another season reading your excellent blog). Looking forward to going to Crewe on Saturday.
That’ll be us then Nick ! You redZ ! !
What a great night. Three points (despite some tension) and Sheff U’s reserves doing us a massive favour.
Good times !
