So the Championship has begun with Brentford unbeaten after the draw with Charlton. Wolves, our main rivals last season, picked up an impressive three points on TV yesterday at Molineux agasint Norwich City whilst Bournemouth top the early table following their emphatic 4-0 win at Huddersfield.
That last result being of particular pertinence for two reasons.

Thanks for reading and all your comments over the course of the season. For now, I need to make more space on the site for any follow up. However, ‘close season’ will continue in full, further along.

Couldnt agree more with your comments regards BeesPlayer. Absolutely gutted for Mark & Luis who have put in so much time and effort bringing Brentford to those of us who cannot be at the matches. Their presentations and commentaries were right up their if not better than most professionals, and I will really miss listening to them. I think the club has scored a major own goal and will no doubt find people no renewing their subscriptions and will instead tune in to see an excited John Salako (did you see the smile on his face when we went up and he was at the Crawley game) stood high up in the New Road.
Ive made my thoughts known on the GPG & Twitter, and also thanked them for being our eyes for as long as I can remember. You quite rightly also said thanks to King Kev, Scottie Barron, Natalie and Mick. But also lets not forget Sam, Richard Lee, Gibbo, plus of course Geoff Buckingham, Dave Morley and Alan Denman among the many.
I feel quite sad that a club who has always prided itself on being a community club, has for many this weekend, discarded that one real link to that community.
let’s wait and see as I fully expect there to be a happy ending to this torrid tale.
Fingers crossed Greville. Fingers crossed….
