Brentford are just three games away from the Premiership. Three games. Only Middlesbrough, Ipswich Town and Norwich City stand in the way of our chance to entertain the likes of Everton, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal. Only 270 minutes of football (plus any time the referee sees fit to add on for stoppage time) stand between us and a top flight ‘tin pot derby’ against our friends at Bournemouth.

Thanks for reading and all your comments over the course of the season. For now, I need to make more space on the site for any follow up. However, ‘close season’ will continue in full, further on.
Good luck in the play offs. If it couldn’t be Wolves getting there then Brentford will get my vote.
I’ve booked my flight to arrive at 6am on the 25th from Singapore … This is going to happen NIck 🐝 COYB

Nick, just one last word from me. Just seen the Bournemouth Echo’s poll of which team AFC B fans hope to win the play offs – completely overwhelmingly the vote is for the Bees ! There’s a heck of a lot of respect for Brentford in Bournemouth. Apart from the obvious reasons, is the fact that both clubs play the same kind of football. The Cherries wish the Bees the very best. See u next season ! All the best. Leon
As a Bournemouth fan who is still walking on air and still checking the final table to make sure I’m not dreaming all I can say is the very best of luck to you guys in the playoffs. It would be some story if you can add back to back promotions to those of our near death rise and Watford’s four managers in what seemed like three minutes. Hopefully you can join us and also get to keep your manager who in my view has done a superb job.
‘Dare to Dream’
Thank you – so much. I really don’t think there’ll be any going back in regards to the manager. To much has gone by and been said.
That said, whoever is in charge I’m really hoping for a Brentford – Bournemouth Premiership clash. It sounds surreal but who knows.
Dare to dream, indeed….
Enjoyed the blog which hits all the right notes for me. Maybe you just knew that we’d do ok on Sat as I noticed that there wasn’t much written about it possibly being our incredible manager’s final game – please don’t forget MW when the 2015 story is finally written.
Some great comments from other clubs, especially AFCB fans – well done to them btw, outstanding! We are a bit “Bournemouth Lite” at times, huge challenges to come against great opponents – but why not us this time?
Cheers. Very much appreciated and well said. The reception from other teams has been a stunning one. Got a feeling we’re going to have a lot of people behind us over these play offs .
As for Warbs….when it comes then he’ll get due recognition but, for now, he IS our manager and (all being well) is going to stay do for another three games.
It is Brentford, is it not? Just typical Bees he’ll take us to the final and then…………..
I’m normally the last to be positive. But this time nobody expects us to do well, and they normally do. Middlesbrough have done us twice for no goals against this season and the footballing Gods normally contrive to turn that kind of thing round.
I said weeks ago we’d do it in the play offs and I stick by that.
I hope so even if just so Sean can get to walk out pitchside at Goodison, Anfield and Old Trafford (and get me tickets cough cough LOL).
You are talking to a trained pessimist / Brentford fan of 30+ years (so much the same). However, even i’ve been calling this one all season and I stand by it.
You want to be careful about Sean walking out at Anfield though. After Pritchard-gate, he’ll be selected for England before you know it
We will be to strong for you good luck in the championship next seaon up the Borp
Up the Borp, indeed
I must have big fingers lol i here you are struggling to sell your tickets for the game we take a average of 4,500 fans to away games always take full allocation maybe they might release another 4,000 to us for this game we only received 1,500 they were gone in 30mins.
Thanks. And also for making me laugh re ticket sales. You might want to recheck your sources !
Looking forward to the games . Roll on Friday
Looking forward to Beep v Borp tomoz, should be fun.
UTB mate, a bit of banter is welcome but keep up – the game tomorrow is a sell out, we’d have sold out the new stadium for this easy.
Best of luck over the 2 legs – you seem very confident, maybe rightly so but know that we aren’t here just to make up the numbers.
