Goodbye Mark Warburton. Billy Reeves does it again.

18 May

Billy Reeves has done it again. Brentford may have had their play off dreams ended by Middlesbrough but the season has been a stunner. The ups, the downs, the highs, the lows and, of course, the Mark Warburton saga.

We all know that facts around that one. You’d have needed your head in the sand to not realise Mark Warburton has breathed his last (not literally) in the managerial hot seat. And whilst we’ve all been well aware that the end was coming, now it has arrived things feel slightly odd.

To read the rest of this article, season 2014/15 is now available to download onto Kindle (and other electronic reading device) in full. Containing additional material and even some (poor) editing, you can get it here for less than the cost of a Griffin Park matchday programme or Balti Pie.

Thanks for reading and all your comments over the course of the season. For now, I need to make more space on the site for any follow up. However, ‘close season’ will continue in full, further on.

Cheers Warbs, you’ve been outstanding in every way and I was glad to stand there and applaud you into the night at Boro last Friday. Managed with style, class and a lot of dignity in tough circumstances – you will be very sadly missed by be and mine.

Good luck in whatever you take on next.
