Hull City NOT given permission to talk to Andre Gray

29 Jul

Despite what ‘other sources’ may be currently claiming about Hull City AFC being given permission to talk to Andre Gray, Brentford have denied any truth in this rumour.

And by Brentford, I mean none other than club owner Matthew Benham who responded directly on Twitter, within five minutes of an off the cuff question being posed on the subject.

If you want information, just ask

If you want information, just ask

Matthew has always been one for straight talking and putting the fans first when it comes to transfer activity (even if anything inbound generally needs first hand knowledge of the Enigma machine to unravel his cryptic clue). This is no dreaded ‘Chairman’s vote of confidence’ (no offence, Mr. Crown) but straight from the man at the top of the tree and somebody who has been a supporter since 1979.

Gone are the days of selling our best players at the first sniff of an offer; let alone even letting them talk to another club.

As supporter Rob Young has noted: “in MB we trust!”

Who am I to disagree?

Andre is currently going nowhere
