Will Moses depart the red’s team as Leeds story confirmed?

2 Aug

Great job Billy Reeves. With all the rumours flying around about Stuart Dallas going to Leeds United and Hull City sniffing after both Moses Odubajo and Andre Gray, his gentle probing of head coach Marinus Dijkhuizen after the Norwich City game officially revealed, for the first time, much of what we already read elsewhere.

First up, Moses. The rumour mill went into overdrive when it was confirmed he wasn’t in the squad for Saturday’s game at Carrow Road. A game that, for the record, saw us go down to a 2-1 defeat. Marinus confirmed to Billy that Moses “Has a clause in his contract and can go away for an amount. Hull City bid that amount last week. He didn’t want to play today, he wants to leave….. He said it’s a big opportunity for me and so that’s why he wasn’t in the squad.

The sideways move didn't work out too well for Adam Forshaw and Wigan Athletic

AGreed if players get above themselves and think they can do better, than go. The only true one is kc and that is simple over recent years. We need players to understand and want the same as all because supporters to love and feel for the club, so bye bye Moses , and maybe Dallas, we will see who come out tops later, when we play you . Three points sat would be a great start.

As a hull city fan, i have read a few of your postings over the past few days, and I have to say how refreshing it is to read intelligent, reasoned viewpoints with insight. A great blog well done. Oh and i hope we get grey!

Can’t really blame the Brentford players for wanting to move to bigger clubs, just like their manager did.
I think the club will be fine despite the departures as long as they look to get in some replacements, Nicky Ajose and Steve Morison are available……….

There seems to be a lot of people thinking Dallas’s contract is up at the end of the season but I remember him signing a one year extension – which is confirmed on his wiki page – up to summer 2017. (Yes I know wiki is not infallible but my memory is!)

I’m only going on what Marinus mentioned. One would hope he knows the length of his players’ contracts but it could easily have been a mistake (or smokescreen)

A good article from a genuine football supporter. I had a lot lot of admiration for Brentford and Bournemouth last season. They achieved their success by playing a lovely brand of football. As others have suggested like the current Southampton set up I too believe that this success will continue no matter what team is on the pitch. I really hope I can see Leeds Utd play this type of football again. The young players who broke through the academy in recent years and a few decent signings bode well for the future we will see. I wish Brentford all the best for the coming season.

Decent posts from some of the leeds / Hull boys. Warburton may have ended up at a bigger club but it is the case that BFC weren’t renewing his contract (much to my disappointment). So it is not correct to suggest that he wanted to leave us to go to a bigger club. Whatever happens the Bees are on the up and any current player should keep this in mind. It will bye interesting to see how Rosler does at Leeds, personally I was glad to see th back of him at GP.

Warbs was asked to stay on as manager under the new structure at the club this came straight from the horses mouth when me and and a couple of mates went to jersey Rd and had a ten minute conversation with him to thank him and David Wier for everything they had done for our club. as for Stuart and Moses if they or any other players are showing an interest in leaving let them go at our price same as Forshaw if they dont want to play in a Bees shirt ONWARDS AND UPWARDS BEES

If Moses does go will it give Nico the chance to play at right back or put him in at defensive midfield like he did at Wycombe last season. Deserves a chance, nothing to lose
