Brentford v Gillingham – should we be worried by the referee?

21 Jan

The refereeing appointments for the week have now been published and Brentford’s reward for Friday’s League One TV game with Gillingham is a visit from Keith Stroud.

Our reader will know my feelings on Mr Stroud and could probably guess what comes next – a rant about Sheffield United last season; a bad pun about more cards than Clintons; reference to his record this campaign (Keith has shown 110 yellows and six reds in his 24 games); possibly an unsubtle photo montage

To read the rest of this article, season 2013/14 is now available to download onto Kindle, in full. Containing previously unseen content, you can do so here for less than the cost of one matchday programme.

Thanks for reading over the course of the campaign. For now I need to make space on this page for any follow up.  The ‘close season’ / World Cup columns continue in full, further on in this site.
